Jared, this is freaking AWESOME news! I know exactly how you feel. DW and I rented for years and stuck money away. Finally, the tumblers fell into place and we were able to buy this place for cash. Then a few more tumblers and we bought the place next door, again for cash. Sure there are two dumpy trailers here, but I saw the potential. We live in one while I'm remodeling the other. It should be finished by Thanksgiving. When it is, we will move over there, tear this place down and start building our real house...again, with cash. I also lost a home many years ago and swore to never buy on credit again. Since we don't have rent or mortgage payments to make, it's much easier to save money away to build the house.

I'm very excited for you and if you run into a building problem, just ask. I sure wish I was closer so I could come over and lend a hand. Maybe even enjoy a cold one at the end of the day
