I just put a order in at Bakers Creek too. I don't know if I'll have enough room for everything :)

Bidwell Casaba Melon- heirloom and was grown here locally in 1869
Tigger Melon
Delicata Squash
Candy Roaster - North Georgia
New England Sugar Pie
Royalty Purple Pod Bush Bean
Mammoth Red Mangel Beet
Ananas Melon
Banana Melon
Early Silver Line Melon
Japanese Long Cucumber
Lemon Cuke Cucumber

I also bought locally seeds for:
yellow straightnecked squash
zucchini
mammoth grey sunflowers
Burpee's early hybrid jumbo melon

And some seed potatoes: all blue (purple), All Red, yukon gold, red skined, and russet. Just a few of each to try in containers.

I've had mine for some time now and actually have a couple hundred plants under the grow lights as I type this.
Probably won't get much planted in the ground until April or so, except potatos which go in on St. Pattys Day.

Stupid question.. I've bought mostly Burpee seeds in the past and most of them germinate just fine but some don't (perhaps 10% germinate -- don't recall what off the top of my head).. Any particular reason so many of you like Baker Creek for Seeds? Just curious.. Thx!

i've noticed that happens too when i used to try any Burpee seeds. probably since most of what they have is hybrids and now owned by the big 'M' and are mostly GMO!

i've always found the cheap seeds-American Seed, had the best germination rate compared to most seeds i bought at $1-$3 per pack! this will be my first year ordering from Baker's Creek. i've bought from Johnny's directly and locally since a local greenhouse carries them. also High Mowing Seeds and Harts.

Hmm.. Haven't heard anything about Burpee and GMO or Monsanto before (see link below for their rebuttal) but haven't tried tons of other seed companies either -- perhaps a change would be good..
