Sounds like yoyo temperatures in a lot of places!
Our cold rain did bring a coating of ice to everything @digitS' . I haven't been out yet this morning, but I am hoping there is enough crunchy snow to avoid an ice rink effect in the yard and on the roads.

wondering about the local storm coming in and Where Will it Go? it looks like an entire subcontinent rolling in - australia! the antarctic! a huge jump in temperatures, forecast 30°f above recent, a huge amount of wind ... fortunately, WS backing away from predicted gusts 40mph+ but they always guess low!

Frost on the ground again. Brrrr....it's cold out there. Highest 54°, not used to it. I'm always so much warmer up at our cabin when it's 28°.

My San Rafael sister is also complaining about the chilly temperatures there @ninnymary !

This morning it is 18 below here. The chickens will be miserable. I am layering up to go out there and taking @digitS' advice for two pair of wool socks. My feet are so comfortable at the moment (normally always cold) that I may take to wearing two pair of wool socks on a regular basis!

With 2 pairs of socks, do your shoes still fit?
