Back up in Post #21, I did my best, in an off the cuff way to describe:
#1 the circumstances that brought Wyatt Earp and his brother to Eagle City, Idaho,
#2 what they were up to, and
#3 what the powers-that-be entrusted them with.
Today, I stopped for a few minutes at the library and brought home a book on local history. This photograph was in the book and it shows Eagle City not more than 10 or 12 years after the Earp brothers "tamed" it!
They probably shot off the tops of those trees in their enthusiasm and in an honest effort to earn their pay. I doubt if there are this many buildings there today but they are of a more recent time than what we can see in the picture.
