That one gets MY vote for POW! That's just beautiful there...harvesting in the middle of snow and cold. And they still look tender and sweet from here...how did they taste?

They look delicious! But, how can you ever get them out of the ground? Our ground is solidly frozen and even if we didn't have three feet of snow, I wouldn't be able to pull them up.

@Kismet fortunately we are just far enough south that we just get a couple inches of snow a year, but we are not immune to the yankee vortex the last 2 winters it has been brutally cold..
any way last year decided to extend the growing season by covering the beds with plastic... it has worked out very well so far....

Those look like the photo cousin sent from Chattanooga TN this morning. People in other parts of the country would call that a dusting! Kind of pretty if it had come early Dec. I just WANT SPRING. The raised beds all covered in snow look so forlorn. :(

Seed, to cheer you up, I'm having blackberry cobbler for dessert tonight. The main course will be one of my older hens, coated in oregano, basil, and parsley and baked in a tight baking dish at 240 degrees for three hours.
