A few pics I took lately....a big red maple up by the coop, a view from my bedroom window last week and the honeysuckle over my garden gate, blooming for the first time...in November!

Just thought these were kind of pretty in the winter light....chicken stock from the fall/winter meat harvest.

There's something about how the light hits the kitchen table at this time of year that makes the most mundane things look almost ethereal. Like this bowl of grits and the fire jam on homemade bread....now I'm the last person to take pics of a meal and find it funny when folks do, but the steam rising off the grits and the sunlight on that jam struck me as particularly beautiful for some reason, so I had to stop and take a pic. Laugh if you will! :D Probably not too many people find grits pretty....but can you see the steam?
