Plant's outside tonight?

I'm in zone 8a and the low tonight is 55. Should I let mt tomatoes and peppers outside tonight for the first time all night or for a few hours?

That's not too low a temp. But just before 6am is the lowest-check the forecast. If it's their first dayout-take them in. Safe not sorry.

We are having snow tonight. . I can't even image putting my plants out yet, even the onions. I hope your plants are toasty.
