Notice what Gail Nowakowsky says about storage bags. I didn't know you could buy special vegetable storage bags. It also helps me with a question that has been on my mind for awhile, altho not the way Gail explains it.
Tubers and roots are alive. They are not quite dormant because they are still "respirating." It is not just a movement of moisture. There is more going on.
We may not be quite "smothering" these things in plastic bags but it is good to know that there are choices on the shelf if we want to try a different product.
