At work smart phones get no signal, none of my clients can use their phones. I just had phone company change black box ( sorry I don't know terms) Now because of change I have WIFI at work. Would the WIFI now give a smart phone a signal ?

Yes, I think so, Nyboy. At home, my phone can use either AT&T or our WIFI that the computers use. I have it automatically switch to WIFI as we have more of that to use.
Do you need a password to have it connected?

You can send an email to a telephone number as a text.

So, anyone connected to the internet, through a wireless router or otherwise, could access their email service and send a note that would be received as a text.

Offices may have complimentary wireless for customers with a "guest" password on a sign in the waiting room.

They have cell signal amplifiers. Talk to your carrier.
