Can't go far but you can always dream ...

, over several generations of individuals, the Monarch butterfly can fly even this far north in a single season.
On the West Coast range, they don't often show up here. However, October 2015 was very warm and a Monarch arrived in my garden ~ generations from its grandmother in Pismo Beach California. Together, those butterflies made the 1,000 mile trip north before that final generation returned to its winter grove .
It shouldn't matter how slowly some children learn as long as we are encouraging them not to stop. ~ Robert John Meehan
