Hope you got some rest, Red. That's a lot of walking an just going.

My wife was chaperone for the fifth grade class trip four or five times. She was the librarian (part time and paid by the PTO) and actually volunteered to chaperone. They'd take a bus from the New Orleans area, go to DC and then on to New York City, then back home, all in a week. Se was an obvious glutton for punishment. Since she could handle them better than most chaperones she typically got the more rambunctious boys that had managed to stay out of trouble enough to qualify for the trip. Luckily certain kids were not allowed to go. They earned that restriction.

One year, when our youngest boy went, she agreed to also watch one of his friends. She typically had four kids to look after. We knew the parents through Scouts. He was a boy on behavioral medication and needed to be on that medication. As they were loading the bus she asked the parents for his medication. They said we just took him off it to see how he does with no medication. Let's just say that when they got back those parents were not considered close friends. What a dirty rotten trick.

OMG! I am not big on meds for children, but taking one off just as he is going out of parent's observation realm is unfathomable.
Dirty trick indeed!
