That's like DW's. She is happy with it.

She can use it for pictures, although she would prefer to use her camera. She can use it for texting, but if there are many words, she tends to just hand it to me. If she texts me, it's just an, "OK" It's easy for her to carry against her shoulder and cheek and she doesn't worry much about dropping it.

My slide qwerty phone kinda wore out. And, not a good camera, at all.

So do I. Farmers text more as we are older and forgetful. Tell us on phone, we are busy, we forget. With text, it's there to remind us what we agreed to.

I get texts from all the neighbors, which is great as long as they don't actually want to engage in a conversation. Then pleeease just call me.
They are young and have forgotten how to text with thumbs, their phones are the "talk-a-text" ones.

NIKON COOLPIX. Pocket cameras are the most useful for grabbing quick shots because you don't need to unpack them and put the lens on. My SIL and husband have been amatuer photographers for years and they lug their big cameras and lenses everywhere. They always miss the great shots that aren't posed. DD has a big NIKON and she has gone the same route as them, with the lens and new diffuser and huge pixel pictures. I have a Nikon COOLPIX pocket camera and I always have to reduce them to share, which is what you want, a lot of detail, lots of pixels which you will notice when you download to your computer.
Here is a photo I took last year with this camera:

Here is another one:

Grab shots like above where my one horse is taking off his friend's halter won't wait for me to get my camera ready.
If you can afford more and want a camera for posed shots, we bought my DH a Canon REBEL for his b'day last year. His old camera didn't work anymore.
You DO KNOW that large cameras wear out, but the investment is in the lenses, right?
