I love TheEasyGarden! Everyone is really friendly, there's lots of good information, the website runs great, but there's one thing I'd like to ask for; articles!

Would it be at all possible to get articles on TEG like there is on BYC and BYH? It would make it so much easier to find advice on, let's say, growing carrots. It would be cool on SS too, but is that too much to ask for?

I know you Staff Members work really hard to make this amazing website work and all (thank you!), but if you have a little extra time would you please at least consider?

i don't understand. there is a search box.
Yes, and that works okay, but is somebody posted a thread about "advice on growing carrots" than we would have to search through the whole thread and all the extra posts to find the info we're looking for. I like how articles have it gathered up and ready to go.

You are obviously not on the sister chicken forum, at lest not much. There is a section called "Articles" that probably contains thousands of articles on specific parts of raising chickens, written by members. There is a section of that called coops that has hundreds or pictures of different coops that people have built, along with instructions on how to build them. Or articles telling you how to candle hatching eggs. How to fix a muddy run or how to ventilate a chicken coop. How to manage chickens when it gets below -20 F. I have one on space for chickens. Practically any subject you can think of has an article, or several, in that section.

Wildbird, I'm not sure how well that would work over here. I don't think there are enough of us on here that would be willing to write articles. Think how many different fruits, veggies, and berries there are, an article for each. Maybe different ways to compost, preserve food, or save different seeds?

We are a fairly small group, if you total up all the member that are fairly active at one time it's probably around 50 as people come and go. If you have specific question, just ask. Usually someone responds.

correct, i have no chickens here, nor any back yard herds. i am on SS at times, but i've been way too busy lately to spend much time there. TEG is still my main gardening forum.

True, I'll keep that in mind. Thanks both of you!

We talked about doing that a few years ago, but it didn't get far. @WildBird, there are a few gardeners here that have been at it for so long, it is like breathing to them, and they are glad to share their knowledge. You will eventually pick them out, and if they live in an area similar to yours, you can trust that what they say is applicable to your garden.
And actually, you can ask a specific person specific questions.

Great discussion!

For TEG we decided a while ago that it made more sense to have information posted as part of the discussions within the forum vs. a separate articles section.
