Garden Master
It passed mostly north of us around 10pm or so last night (wondered how Monty was faring up his way...) I saw some pics of tornado damage in NW Ohio. We had another pass around 5am this morning, lots of lightning and the wind picked up for a bit, but only minor damage to little things in the yard and garden. My peas are flattened and some of my flowers. It helped thin my fruit trees for me though. We had about 3 and a quarter inches of rain since 5am this morning. The garden looked like a lake! I didn't have any tiny seeds recently planted...so nothing to wash away. I think the beans should still be there, since they are planted a little deeper. I hope.... The county north of us has power out and one city just north of us is shut down by the state police. Powerlines across the road coming in from the south and severe flooding has blocked off the town and they have no power either. We got lucky here, being just south of it all.
Yep, nothing like last year's storm! That one was so weird, how it came up out of nowhere, with no warning.
ETA: I have a new box of bees I need to go check on, but I haven't been able to open them up lately, what with having a thunderstorm just about every other day. They are always cranky the day following a storm.
