Looking great boggy!

I'm addicted to the raised beds now lol
Thanks.....

Know what you mean. I think it's going to be a LOT easier to stay on top of (maintainence wise), for sure.

Barring any bad reprecussions....don't see myself going back to the conventional way of gardening.

I REALLY like the "greenhouse" adaptation you have there...gonna have to do that to one and have it as a bed/coldframe.....neat idea.

11 degrees celcius out today! Beautiful and sunny and even the pastures aren't so bad off with the mud as they were last year.

I checked the weather network's predictions and it looks like a pretty good month, so I think if the weather is good, the first week of April I'm going to start direct sowing some corn into one of the raised beds, with the polytunnel on it. I've been keeping an eye on the one bed with the tunnel on it now and its super toasty inside so I think its safe to say that we may be able to give this experiement a decent go.

Peas going in soon!

We are harvesting bok choy, peas, beets and lettuce right now.

Mid-March is time to plant the warm season crops here (tomatoes, corn, etc).

Will post up pictures after those go in.

Ok, here's our front bed we prepped in the fall. I removed the hay and put in some stepping stones as not to compact the soil where I need to walk. So far I planted some bok choy there, and fennel today. At the far west end of the bed I will plant some beans later in the season on some bamboo tee-pees.

My raised beds will be photoed later, I was just too busy today and was lucky to get some shots with my cellphone.
