Just figured out another volunteer is an acorn squash and also ended up with a volunteer zucchini. It is sure my year for free food! LOL

First two are volunteer gourds that came up by my mailbox where I had some purchased gourds out for a fall display.

Last one is a passionflower vine that has volunteered itself in the same spot for the past 3 years. It was here when we bought the house and it plans to stay!

@wifezilla The second pic from the top pic looks like those burr plants. They are a pain to pull out and the 3rd pic from the top pic looks to be like a pumpkin vine. We have one since the chickens did not finish there pumpkin seeds LOL

EDIT: the burr plant I am referring to is a burdock. http://imacpr0n.com/iphone/Burdock.jpg
Just keep mowing them down or weed wacking them. Even the ones I mowed to the ground, and are only 8 inches high are making burrs.
You don't KNOW how much horse owners hate these things. I spent every riding day late last summer, and into the fall, working these things out of manes and tails!!!! :barnie :rant :rant :somad
I'm on TOP of them this year. :celebrate

I know what ya mean LOL. I put the mower on top of them and you can hear it grinding it down. They keep coming back up.

HINT: Wait till around october and you can pull it out by the root as easy as 1,2,3.
