Neider & 95, check. Winco is a store of choice. There's so much in bulk, I haven't been able to sort through it all! I've a reason to see about almonds now!

But, guess what - finally made it to Spokane Spice today. Had more than one reason to be going past ... Now, I just need a sausage casing I can fit into ....

I'm gonna have to be careful with this but they say that spicy food does not lead (necessarily) to overconsumption, right?

@digitS, I stopped at Super1 this afternoon on the way home and they carry Bobs Redmill products, and among them is spelt flour. Look in the baking section, not the health food area. :)

Thank you, @thistlebloom . Now, that you have gone to that bother, I should admit that I was only curious where @catjac1975 (& others) could be avoiding gluten products.

Food is what I need to avoid! It might not help that I have little to focus on here at home other than food preparation ... it should be salad season!

I got some exercise yesterday. I need to prep a composting area so that I can empty some frozen buckets and uncover @canesisters survey (link ;)).

I probably can't get the compostables out of the buckets just yet. That survey had better stay on my kitchen wall for the next few months! ... anyway, my exercise was a walk in the park ... after raking & robbing it of more pine needles for garden mulch.

I have been buying products at soap.com. I love their organic sprouted spelt flour. I buy organic brown sugar, rice pasta, rice crackers and organic instant coffee. I have found the coffee cheaper however. Spend $50 and get free shipping. I found local stores to be hit or miss in having what I wanted. I prefer to shop locally but they were not keeping products in stock. RE: organic coffee.I was having daily headaches. My homeopathic physician told me to switch to organic coffee-instantly gone headaches.

Wow! That seems to be quite an online resource.

I'm playing with this idea that there are "things" better than calories. Staying hydrated is important during the summer but sure can be a concern anytime. I have to be a little careful with my stomach but enjoy flavors, including spices. I'd better avoid salt.

An olde man with his cup of broth? Tell me this isn't pathetic ...

Ten cups!

I thought it was 8 cups ... maybe it's 8 ounces to a cup.

I hate to think of myself as one "who cannot stand the taste of water" but just having something that is flavorless or something that doesn't have a very good flavor, like most of what comes out of a tap, doesn't much appeal to me ...

Steve
who probably needs more than 10 cups just to soak into a body that is already 3# heavier than it was 10/1!

It's definitely hard to drink a lot of anything that tastes less than good.
We had our own water distiller for a couple of decades, a stainless steel contraption (that made a lot of noise). When it finally kicked the can we checked out less expensive ways to get clean water, and finally settled on a British Berkefeld or "Berkey" water filter. It's not bad, certainly better than tap, but I miss the clean sweet taste of steam distilled.
We're kinda nerdy about water I guess.
