We are having flurries right now . Up to 7 inches for tomorrow. Hope they are wrong. But...wit ill undoubtably melt pretty fast. Last weekend it was springtime.
NyBoy, it does look like only a dusting - slick roads?
@catjac1975 , there in Plymouth County (Can you believe Cat' lives in the original Plymouth Colony, folks? ), your 1/3" precip translated into how much snow?
Our snow season must have passed ... oh gosh! Nearly all the seedlings in the greenhouse overnight and I forgot to check the temperature this AM!!! ... it's okay. 64° . They were warmer out there than they would have been in the house.
We received a hail storm the size of marbles that completely covered the ground 2 hail deep yesterday evening. Sounded like the roof was caving in. I will have to check for any damage to our plants , trees and everywhere else after the sun comes up this morning.
Funny Steve. I did not think about Plymouth County being a big deal. You should see Plymouth Rock. Actually don't waste a trip to see just that. The coast is extraordinary, but the rock is a big bolder surrounded by a cage. I remember seeing it for the first time. standing over the railing looking out to sea and saying to my husband, "Where is the rock?" It was the boulder down in the fancy cage. Lots of beautiful coastal places to see. We sell daylily plants at the Farmers market in Plymouth at the Plymouth Plantation. It is a village reenacting colonial Plymouth.
So far not much snow, buy this morning they were still saying 4-8 for us.
I just whent out after this morning's rain ... many blueberry and cherry blossoms on the ground, as well as new leaves from the crabapple and Japanese Maple trees. I will have to see if the newly emerged strawberry leaves live or die back in a few days.
