How's the power holding out up that way? I was passed by a LONG line of Alabama Power trucks heading north yesterday as I went to the feed store. Then on the way home I saw another big bunch with a different logo (couldn't read the name) heading north.

Power never went out. I filled car with gas because all the stations have pumps that need electric. Luckily I am by county airport, if we lose power, usually first to get it back.

Ya'll get socked in by snow storms like I used to get socked in by hurricanes. You just gotta stock up and be ready for whatever may come.

We kept all 3 grand babies yesterday, last night and today. 6 months, 2 years and 9 years. The 2 year old was puny, had an ear infection. We went to the chicken coop and got an egg, scrambled it and she ate it right up. The 6 month old was on the entertainment committee from midnight to 3 AM this morning. The 9 year old got to watch Disney channel. Mom went to Houston with friends to see the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. She needed to get away and go have some fun.

At least we didn't have a snow storm too!

my work closed Tuesday & Wednesday we had 2 hour delay. had called the fuel company Wednesday when at work to fill the tank thinking i had at least 1 more week of fuel. they were so backed up with deliveries couldn't get to us till Friday. lo & behold i come home that night to a very cold house & my dh stoking the fire. he didn't bother to run down the street to get kerosene from the gas station & get the furnace running till they could deliver for Friday. :he he could have called a friend to help get it running again before i got home.

so Thursday i had already switched my shift with a coworker so should have been to work for 10 & instead ended up there by 11:30. oil came this morning but i got home over an hour ago & found the house cold again. i should have run out to get a few more gallons last night just in case they waited to deliver the fuel in the afternoon-which they did. just got the furnace up & running again & warm toasty house! :weee
