in another place far far away and in another universe we have been talking about haggis and meat loaf and sausage and stuffing and puddings (of many sorts) and pretty much i'm convinced they're all about the same in idea, various meats or leftovers from a beastie, fillers, spices and forms or uses. in the USoA the natives had pemmican and that was similar. and thus came about cookies too...
