Southern (HAH) summer tomato growers

I have a question for my fellow summer hah tomato growers, mine are over growing the 5 foot high support, should I add higher support or prune them back to just over trellis high?

Tsk, tsk. The longer the summer, the ha-ha-ha higher the support needed. Go for the sky or lose all the tomatoes possible.

Thanks, that is what I was thinking, just wanted to make sure before I built a sky scraper in my back yard. lol

Now, majorcatfish, I didn't want to tell her that, even if it is a way to control her tomatoes. What fun is it to make tomato growing easy?

@majorcatfish that will have to wait until next year if that happens I don't have the space or set up for that.

@Kassaundra, maybe you can train each tomato to grow towards the one next to it, after it tops the cage, so they can lay along the tops of them. Does that make sense?
