Those tiny babies are looking pretty good right now. Question: did the grass come in the bales or in the soil/mulch, do you think?

It was either the bales or the compost/manure I used as fertilizer to condition. I pick and pull them out about every day

Well.. so far not TERRIBLY impressed.
BUT, it's been SO rainy - maybe things will improve with some sunshine.

Re-ran the soaker hose to get better coverage...not that it's been needed lately with all the rain we've been getting. Also put up the cattle panel trellis.
(the bucket in the back is just catching drips - no sense wasting water on sawdust)

I had heard that they were helpful to keep bugs away.. but they are NOT liking the SBG thing and have all shriveled up and are quickly heading toward dead. I didn't think anything could kill marigolds. Apparently this will.
