Surely not SSS unless it stands for shoot, saute, and spoon. Goose is delicious and doesn't taste like chicken.

Do not under estimate the danger geese are to airplanes. The plane that landed in the Hudson river was because of hitting a goose

City people protect them while they cause problems elsewhere. If they killed off flock at airport wouldn't make a dent in goose population.
@Smart Red domestic goose is good. Wild? Not so sure.

Southern Illinois has a big business of catering to goose and duck hunters. Lodging, hunting clubs, etc. Lots of lowland, often flooded, right on the Mississippi. It is amazing to see a huge flock of geese land or take off. You see lots of white in the flocks now; it seems snow geese are taking over.

Guy at work runs one in Arkansas, they just harvest breast. In Illinois, joke was to bake on wood plank, after roasting throw goose away, eat plank.
