That's such good news! I'm so glad for you :). I know how pleasant it is to have a friendly clerk in a store. Those are the ones whose line I always get in, even if it's longer.

See, I just knew how awesome you were! You so deserved that job and those hours and those tips. There is nothing better then a super friendly person... the way things are now a days, to get 1 friendly person in your life, even if they just bagged your groceries is so amazingly special!

You better watch it, if you ever were like that to me... I'm a hugger!!!

Very therapeutic I am sure. Good for your well-being, self-esteem and building/ reestablishing social connection is all good.

So glad all is going well!! It shows you how shabby we are used to being treated! When someone is nice it is unusual. A sad state of affairs-but good for you! I can just picture you jumping up and down thinking about all that wonderful compost!! Go, Boggy!

Good for you, Boggy! :thumbsup Great job (nothing better than getting paid to talk to people and be friendly :frow ) plus all that produce. :weee My girls love it in different ways (raw, cooked, chipped) plus my garden loves the leftovers that they don't eat or that they eat and work through their systems. ;) Another thing you can check out is past dated tofu, yogurt, veggie burgers, etc. Our store here sometimes has those and I get them when I pick up the produce. They girls go "wild" for that stuff. Their beaks pecking on their dishes sound like hail hitting a roof or drumming as they are all pecking so fast. Congrats and enjoy your good fortune, its well deserved. :rainbow-sun

Ahem...I bet plenty of that produce is still human edible, too. Especially watch things like bagged fruit & veggies. They will toss them if a few in the bag go bad. However, there will still be plenty that are fine...

Oh yes, I forgot corn on the cob. Sometimes I get lots of corn that the husks look ugly but there is nothing wrong with the cobs. I cut eat cob into 3 or 4 pieces and give enough so each has their own cob. I save the rest for other days since they go wild for it and I heard you are not supposed to give them lots of corn.. Besides, they can't eat all their "candy" in one sitting.
