I am still uninspired, but kind of enjoying it, none the less. I just received a text from my sis, a pic of her and Dr Oz. I encouraged her to have him ask Oprah for a new car. (sorry if no one gets the reference)

I went to a podiatrist yesterday about a foot problem I have had for years, and he encouraged me to have the joint fused. It's called The Great Toe Fusion. I told him it sounded like a party of some kind.

He said I have no cartilage left, there are bone spurs and even a piece broken off in there. No wonder it hurts. The surgery would mean that the large joint in the toe would not move, but it only moves with a lot of pain and pops now, so....

I've been reading up on the procedure, and it sounds like the best alternative. But I would be out of commission for several weeks, so I have to plan it accordingly. Still need to talk to DH about it.

DH's stupid smart phone doesn't get service up in the hinterland. Not the phone's fault. Apparently AT&T is not all that it says it is.
So I haven't talked to him much.

Anyway, I have a pile of beans to put in the freezer, so I better get moving. Thanks for asking, @Nyboy.

What!?! Here I thought all those new car recipients were just that day's normal audience! Now I'm disappointed. :hit

I think you should do something extraordinary with one of your days!
But not the Great Toe Fusion, although that sounds like an extraordinary thing to do. Something fun and out of character!
Then tell us and we'll laugh with you! :hugs

I'm getting my eyes checked tomorrow for new glasses, Thistle. Does that count? (I don't hear laughter, so I guess not)
Steve, Penny is all too eager to show me where she wanders with DH. I have to hold her back from jumping the ditch, and from heading off into the woods on an old path that is quite grown over this time of year. DH doesn't worry about her getting ticks and brambles. I do. And I sure don't want to get them, either.
