We had the very best family Thanksgiving yesterday! Everyone was fed well and had a lovely time.
DD's took Eva And GS on walkies, about 12 blocks. Youngest DD wanted to look at a house where the couple had been making improvements, and it had been awhile since both DD's had walked that way.
I guess I forget to bring the applesauce that I made this Fall, but we can eat it with some other meals, so no problem.
This is a first--Youngest DD AND DH are out Black Friday shopping!!!! :th:th:th
Never thought I'd see that.
They will probably hit another store or two and have a Nice Meal lunch.
Both of them are good company.
Our Black Friday plans have changed 5x in the last few months, and nobody heard Eldest DD say,
"I don't get the day off."
I am still making good knee progress but NO WAY could I walk around the square tonight in Monticello with a small glass and putting back wine samples!! (That's "Reds of Monticello.")
I get a new phone today--DD's choice. Mine has fewer problems than DH's phone, except for the cracks, but it's like getting a new car when Yours has a lot of miles on it.

We had another awesome outdoor Thanksgiving with the kids! This is a pic that shows a couple recipes on the menu cooking - roasted chickens, Green Bean Supreme, and stuffing in the Dutch oven.

DD made 4 quarts of okra at my house, transported in my better crock pot, the one that has security for the glass lid. We slow fry it in bacon grease, add some cornmeal, keep on top of it, Almost burn some of it, leave some green and everybody's happy. Middle DD took all of the leftovers home. MUCH easier to use two skillets.
It is a real PINA to find replacement glass crock pot lids!
