This morning I weighed myself and I lost 2.6 lbs. Not as much as I hoped but at least I met my goal of 2.5 a week.
Mentally I feel much better now. At first I was stressing about eating the right foods at the right time, on the right day, in the right amount. Now I know what to expect. Monday and Tuesday are my fruit and good complex carbs days. Wednesday and Thursdays only proteins and veggies. The long weekend is when I get to eat good. These are my healthy fats days. I get to eat a whole egg cooked in a little olive oil! Nuts for snack, avocadoes, and a grain with my dinner. It's also when I get to eat berries.
Cane, it is hard but the week went by quickly. The autor also says inorder to lose more you have to eat more. Otherwise if you're hungry your body will hang on to the fat thinking it's a famine. This makes me feel better about increasing my portions alittle. I'm hoping that by the end of this week that my body will have adjusted to this way of eating and start burning the fat more. Like so lucky said, it sometimes takes a week before you notice any weight loss.
Thistle, I don't feel very proud of such a measly loss. I suppose I can't expect it to all go away in 4 weeks when it took be at least a year to gain it. Haven't checked with my husband yet. I'll call him later on at work.
Thistle, she say's you can lose up to 20 pounds. I think the more you weigh and have to lose, the more you lose. If you only have 0-10 pounds, it's much harder.
Can't believe my husband forgot to weigh himself! I'm sure he's going to do better than me. Last time we did a 21 day diet, I lost 0 and he went down 3 notches on his belt and lost 10 pounds! We were both eating the same thing. There is no justice in this world!
