There is a lot to horse genetics, probably because they are domestic livestock. Wikipedia has some information on the colors that I had not seen before. Of course, they would be open to editing but I'm sure that I don't know about colors!

A friend was recently telling me about a canoe trip he took down the Little Spokane. That really is a little river. He said around the very first bend he and his companion came on a bull moose standing in the river. Now, that would have been a scary event!!
I was imagining not only his size, horns but his color. I picked up a bottle of a real dark honey off the counter but decided that it wasn't quite brown enough.
