...why putting up new siding on the house of course!!! LOL

We have several weekends of doing this coming up. I'm going to keep the majority of my gardening to the weekdays with the my daughter and we'll water each morning as usual. Its just so nice to see the rotten termite destroyed siding off. Now lets see if we can transform this into the cottage we were hoping to. :D

The only thing that was keeping me out of the backyard was that I had to finish up the income taxes. I finally made it outside by 5:00. It was gorgeous! But then I realized that there were mosquitoes out too.

Yeah they get pretty bad here. Especially with the pond in the back yard.

Can't picture mosquitoes out in NY yet! :/ I grew up in Connecticut and used to wait until almost June to finally see the fireflies. Now I think of the south as warm, gorgeous and filled with every kind of bug in all seasons!!!!!! :bee

Here's the one finished wall. This is going to be a loooooooooooooooong slow project. What I can't wait for it the front porch. I got a different siding for the front porch. It should be a surprise but I just can't wait. The front porch will be vinyl as well, but it is foe rough cedar shingles. Total cottage look!!! ($210 a box and 3 boxes alone for the front porch, so the rest of the house is the cheaper vinyl in the same color so not to distract from the front porch.)

Its a nice 'clay' color. Kinda beige and taupe together?! :D

I'm just soooooooooooooooo excited about this!!! Bye bye rotten masonite termite eaten board yucky!!!!

Ok... so the update is there is more siding up! LOL

I have photos I need to upload to my computer but my hands and back are killing me. I had to finish filling that 3 level raised bed since only the first level was full. I had to set up and secure the trellis in my garden for my cucumbers. Also harvested 10 lbs of spinach I needed to wash and decide whether to cook and freeze or save fresh. I cooked 8 lbs for the freeze... 4 lbs of that went to creamed spinach and the rest wilted with garlic oil. (I'm washing the last of it to keep fresh for salads and sandwiches)

I just finished weed wacking my fenceline by the driveway and around the deck. I smell like grass, my hands and feet are killing me.... but I have a dz plants that need to go in the ground still. So I will go finish that before I fall over and DIE! Then I will come back with pictures... LOTS of pictures :D
