Burgos, Spain is supposed to have just about the same climate as here! It is one of the coolest parts of the country, in the northern mountains.

In this memory Lesa, where were you in Spain?

I'm glad you consider it a treat, Collector. Hopelessly off topic and relying too much from old memories but something Rusty said, struck a chord :p.

I am afraid of becoming predictable in where I might turn up. That is why I've been studying Argentinian geography today. Yes, I once had my hemispheric opposite location picked out somewhere in their Lake District but I've lost the coordinates (computer change). But, you know:

Argentina, 1st Day of Spring
September 21,
Argentina, 1st Day of Autumn
March 21

Here, 1st Day of Spring
March 21
Here, 1st Day of Autumn
September 21

I figure that if I paid someone for garden clean-up here, I could arrive in Argentina's Lake District just in time to start plants for setting out in 6 to 8 weeks.

Of course, then there is also Tasmania . . .

I'm pretty sure we were in Toledo- but it was more than 20 years ago, so I'm not swearing! Another trip to Spain- when we met our tour guide he was very excited that we had arrived. He said our arrival coincided with the first rain, after a very long drought. Yes, it rained for 7 days!! It is possible the black cloud just follows me around!

That there is a non sequitur . . . But, there are places aaalll over the world that are almost like my own backyard! If'n I want to look for them!

The place to start is with Kppen climate classifications. Then, I'll show up "over there" and find out what they are growing in their backyard!

Anyway, it's an idear.
