Here is what will be a common sight for me from the big veggie garden thru many more mornings this summer:
The sunrise is in the northeast. The recent bad winds have been from the southwest. It looked as tho' the clouds were scurrying away from the sunrise with a promise of better weather for today.
This was about a week ago - sunrise and sunset from our new house
Looking east at the sunrise from the lower deck.
Looking east at the sunrise from the upper deck.
Looking west at the sunset from the upstairs deck, the roofline is in my way. Guess if I wasn't afraid of heights I would get the ladder set up here for better views like @Kassaundra
I can see now that these sunrise pictures are very dynamic. The most beautiful sky color was about 5 minutes earlier and some distance down the road. I did figure out where I could stop for a clear picture the next time.
After I'd taken the shot and put the camera away, I turned a little to the south and about 10 Canada geese flew across the sky.
Moments later, as I walked into the garden, an eagle flew over the neighbor's house! I see eagles now and then but I don't remember one so close. I'd never have gotten a picture of her flying out of the sunrise. From my perspective, she (probably a she) was quickly behind the plum tree that is on the edge of the garden. Then, she was flying off into the western sky.
