wow, that is quite the garden area you have there. :) very well done. nice colors and shapes.
Thank you. There is a lot more color that you can't see. In the back right corner is my orange coop. Left side along fence are my veggie beds. Neighbor's garage is at the end and I have a collage of Talavera plates on that wall.

i have seen some of those things in other pictures you have posted before, but i like a picture like what you just did there which gives a wider view of things instead of just a single garden space. :)

The temperature was down to 41°f this morning and the windy week continues. I can't imagine that the warm-season varieties have grown more than a millimeter or two this week.

There was a thread I posted a few years ago where I was keeping some track of the temperatures in my protected growing. "What they are capable of," or something like that. Weeelll, after a windy day and overnight, the unheated hoop house was 41°f, just like the outdoors. ! Keep in mind that we are coming up to our shortest night of the year - here, right at 8 hours of darkness.

The temperature dropped inside that plastic film like a stone. Now, I imagine that the soil surface was a little warmer than outdoors but ... It's okay for the plants growing in there, I suppose.

The greenhouse fared better. No heat in there, either, but it has the insulated north wall and roof holding some heat. It hasn't had the heat on for a couple of weeks. The greenhouse thermometer said 51°.

Next week is supposed to be much warmer. "Near 90°, Wednesday" the WS says. Dang! Adapt and Adjust? Riiiight ...

We are expecting a heat wave! 84° Saturday, and 90° Sunday, Monday. Wednesday 81°. This Sweet Pea flower is going to melt! :p
