Took some photos this evening; thought I'd share!
The building is the chicken coop, and their attached yard is the fenced enclosure.

I am always amazed at how BIG things grow ... The plants always exceed my expectations!
Unfortunately, so do the bugs! :/

The zucchini gets kind of wilted down by the afternoon ... today wasn't so bad since it was mostly cloudy, but on sunny days poor things are quite droopy.

Armenian cucs, and regular slicing cucs planted on the tree branch trellis.
Sunflowers and some zinnias planted along the chicken yard in the background.

I love feeding the hummers ... but I've only seen 2 this year. Odd.

The 8-Balls are doing remarkably well this year! Between the 8-Ball and the black & yellow zucchini, we've brought in almost 39 pounds of zuc from the garden!

Finally, getting some cucumbers! I'm afraid the cucumber beetles are going to take out my vines again this year before I get very many cuc's ... so I've got 4 other areas w/ cucumbers planted! I'm determined to get cucumbers this year!!

I eat spinach and kale nearly every day from the garden. Either in smoothies, or in salads with radish, chard, and even beets! YUM!

This is the most recently planted bed, our third planting of radish, spinach, and a few other odds and ends.

The experimental "trough gardens" are growing better than I expected ... a bit crowded, as I honestly didn't think the plants would grow in as they have!

Daisy,

The pictures remind me of a dream I once had: My home was a pumpkin. Your building is being overwhelmed by your garden!!

Here is Wishing You the Best of Luck with the cucumbers. You deserve cucumbers!

What an incredible, beautiful sight!!! I just love your little piece of paradise, Miss Daisy! No drought this year? I still haven't seen a hummingbird....

Daisy! I love your garden!

I picture the roof of the shed all covered with different kinds of Hen and Chicks in a year, less lawn, jungle paths through sunflowers and giant squash vines, a person wearing a safari hat holding a machete coming out of the jungle, some howler monkeys in the apple trees...

Neat! I like your tree-branch trellis. And your GIANT plants. :)

That garden trough with the nasturtiums is so beautiful. I really need to remember to look for some seeds for my garden. Everything looks to good and looks like you are enjoying some harvests.
