Took the neighbor 6 young chickens I no longer needed nor wanted...he was delighted and gave me a rabbit in return. Bunny FuFu was butchered the next morning and will find a good home in a Mason jar the next time I can...for now he's at rest in the freezer.

That was the first butchering my granddaughter got to take part in~she's 1 1/2 yrs old~she clapped when the bunny stopped moving and watched the whole thing with much, much interest. Even helped me take the remains to the gut pile...she loves riding the mower. :D

Feels good passing down the old ways to the new generation. :love

It's .... well... it's sort of a spread. The texture is very similar to apple sauce.
Jam is fruit cooked down, usually has some small chunks in it.
Jelly is made from fruit juice.
(I think)

Both of these are apple butter. The lower one is more like what my sister makes.
