Peas! Kids and I picked few to snack on.
I love picking fresh peas from the garden! There is a gourmet recipe I love to make with peas called Thai Seafood Pasta. It has an orange sauce and is loaded with shrimp, snow peas, red bell peppers, julienned carrots, lots of garlic, and more!

strawberries from the freezer (a few days ago as i didn't think to post it here :) ). they were good and well worth it. they were from the '21 crop as we did not get enough strawberries last year other than what we ate fresh - i'm glad i have some still left in the freezer but only 4 pints. hope this year we can get some more put up.

the rhubarb here is growing very slowly. not much water/rain - the ditch out back (which normally runs all year) is pretty low. i thought with our potential water problem that i may have to get some water from it to keep the garden plants happy but so far we're avoiding that extreme (it's a pretty steep bank and hard for me to traverse with a gimpy leg).

Amaranthus retroflexus.

That doesn't sound much more appetizing than its common name ... Tasty.

Commonly called: redroot pigweed. Hey, it was from the garden! Just desserts ;).
