Made a pot of Vegetable beef stew. Used onions, green beans, tomatoes and corn from garden, Beef, potato (ours have been used up) and carrots from the store.
I made an apple pie last week from a jar of apple pie filling dated 2013. All gone, tasted great! Been eating on last season's okra, and, of course, made a stew with canned and pureed tomatoes to marinade the meat and flavor the stew. Probably I will make a cherry pie this week from last year's tart cherry harvest.
No, Mary. I love it sauteed. Sometimes I add a drained can of garbanzo beans and some parm cheese. Kinda vegetarian like with some good bread and something else on the side.
Supper last night...baked chicken. basmati rice with curry sauce. Original recipe for the curry sauce was from gourmet magazine but like all other original recipes I've messed with it .
