We have only been getting a few sun gold so far for tomatoes. Raspberries have been going for a week or so, along with peas and a few cucumbers. Really the garden is just starting to get growing good , the weather has not been the best so far this season. The zinnias are starting to take off though.

the peas here are done for fresh eating, the heat and dry shut them down. i'm sure i could probably find a few stragglers to pick in there, but most of them are getting too hard.

Broccoli.

It's quite welcome this year ... probably as a result of DW subscription to kale-lovers in the produce aisles through the winter months. I notice how after the early harvest of garden kale, she easily allowed Asian greens and then peas to take dominant veggie roles at the dinner table.

Broccoli is also a little late. Maybe if this cool weather continues, there will be more growth and buds. One thing -- no aphids!

peas and cucumbers.

just finished picking all the peas - i went out for a few minutes this morning to get some garlic for hummus and ended up being out for the morning as i got sidetracked wanting to get the peas picked before it rained (if it does). was icky humid and hot so i had to come in for a bit over lunch before i could finish it up.

still no hummus.
