Today I planted (or started) 28 strawberries from runners. I have about 20 others that are rooting and about 40 already in 4" pots.

An easy way to do it is to half bury the full cups in the soil under the runner and wait until it roots. Then just cut from the "mother" plant and lift. No root disturbance.

We just added some more to the garden.
8 Raspberry bushes,
rhubarb
several kinds of squash
scarlet runner beans
cabbage
lemon cucumbers
armenian cucumbers
and the multi colored carrots for the kids.

Not really planting I guess....but my first rose clippings from a rambler rose are planted.....gonna see how it does.....I put the stem in half sand - half composted manure...all mixed together of course.....I cant wait to see what develops.....

Also planted two gayfeathers...one white and the other purple 2 weeks ago....well the white one is good and growing....the other not sure if it survived the rabbit attack.....grrrrrr.

This is my first year growing the Lemon cukes and they are a big hit...flavor is lightly citrus-y, not quite the refreshing cool from a typical cuke, but everyone seems to really like them. I only bought one start at a local nursery and it is very prolific!
