I am planting late. I think you will get some harvest, plus you can cover an area where the ground grows weeds. win-win

I have the purdiest crab grass in my garden you ever saw. The crab grass brought all their friends, giant ragweed, poor joe, to name a couple. Last week I picked everything that was pickable and turned the sheep in. Today is day 5 and they are still busy.

Picked MORE zucchini, cucumbers and kale. AND the 1st ripe tomato.

Hold out. These vegetables start panicking when the days get shorter and they WILL produce for you!

Harvested beets and carrots. 11 1/2 quarts of pickled beets put up. Carrots are still in the fridge. I intend to scrub them, cut them and freeze them.
