I appreciate the industrious compliment AND yes, my dog, "Pyg", who is attached to me by the hip, sits and waits on me. I believe that dogs (and horses) need jobs to do to be sane. She is 10yo (November) and I correct when necessary, like don't cross our very quiet street without me, or, you have a choice, run after and bark at the hay man who is backing 240 bales on his trailor slowly towards my barn, where he cannot see you or, "basement." That was a week ago, and my 3 20-something's guys that I hired to help were amused bc Pyg went to each of them looking for a different answer.
Regarding neatness, you are very kind but THOSE comments should be reserved for @ninnymary! She works REALLY HARD to keep hers tidy. MINE look "tidy" when I pull all of the weeds. BUT, that's what is nice about living in the country...most people don't see your beds, the garden ones with weeds or the unmade ones in the house.

Frank does need jobs to do. He is a year and a half old now and a monster hound. It drives me crazy because he such a barker. But I love him because he is a good snuggler. I would let them out with me more but I let the chickens free range and he is the ultimate hound dog. I am so scared of him grabbing hold of one of them. I will have to check out @ninnymary's posts and probably learn! Or at least be envious. I do love the country no one expects my yard to be tidy, (my friends and family know better about the inside) although at the rate that I mow I am "that neighbor". I do a lot of under estimating and overestimating when I garden! Ha ha. Maybe one day I'll get it right.

Pulled up a whole mess of bush beans this evening. Took a couple of videos to give a "tour" but they won't load boo. My bench swing was loaded with plants and I ended up with almost 5 gallons. Now I'm watching criminal minds and snapping beans! Hope you guys had a successful evening in the garden. I am really enjoying this website. Everyone has been awesome.
