That's why I didn't buy it for myself....couldn't get past the price of it all, too much of a luxury. BUT...when someone asked what I wanted for Mother's Day, to which I usually reply that I need nothing at all, just for us to be together and have fun, I saw a way they could all split the price and I could still have this very much needed tool.
That's the way it SHOULD have went, but the oldest wound up paying for it all while the two other slackers backed out on their side of the gift.
That made me feel bad for a bit, but then I reasoned I'd be using it on their garden too and that they spend that much money just going out to eat for one meal.

I think they had gotten used to me refusing any gift giving and this took them back a bit.

) showed us his 2012 Alaska trip, where he paid 4x as much as we paid (ahead of time) total for ours. Unfortunately we will only see the panhandle, but I may never go again so I will be satisfied. DH and our atty associate--we are cruising with her and her husband--are over the moon excited about this trip, so it rubs off.
