I have a HUGE order I am waiting on from pinetree. I am so excited! I have never got this serious about buying what I want before, i always just get what they have at wal-mart. :celebrate

I also ordered a bunch of potatoes and 50 strawberries. And sweet potatoes and jerusalem artichokes.... I will be busy this year... :tools
I just got off the phone with a friend who said her whole order from Pinetree is on back order. Have you checked when your order is due to be shipped? Maybe if you get yours I can assure her that her's will arrive in time for planting. :D

I just busted out an order for strawberries... these better not be back ordered! I already had to cancel one order and hubby and I went and built another raised beds for there. Bad news it, I'm still 2 raised beds short in the garden thus far.

If you have a catalog from Gurney's they have a coupon on the front that will take $25 off of your order over $50. I am ordering their buy one get one Strawberries, Asparagus, rhubarb and Blueberries. It would have been over $83, but with the coupon it will be $68.66. Their postage is what the killer is. I have a big order to go into Pinetree too, and am now worried about it being backordered. Here in mid Illinois we can plant all through May, and still get good results, depending upon the weather, of course, but I may have to buy locally. Pinetree has awesome books for those of us that like the old tyme stuff . . .I have always been so happy with their products.

I did this with Henry Field's which I think is the same as Gurney. I am waiting for my berries but it says they will ship next week. It's still too early here so I'm not paniky yet. lol

I have ordered so much already I can't list it all but the seeds are finally rolling in, got about 50 packets in the mail already this week.
Right now everyone is offering some kind of a deal.
Gurney's is doing a one dollar shipping this month, as well as the $25.00 off, I have recieved both offers from them this week so they should still be good.
This is the second time I have gotten $25.00 off of gurney's this month.
Park Seed is also doing the $25.00 off as well as a few other places right now. I have been dividing my orders between all the ones with the deals and I have saved so much money.
Territorial had some kind of deal going on last month too but I can't remember what it is right now.

Everything is here but the 75 strawberry plants. Peas, beets, and carrots, went in the ground today. Broccoli and cauliflower go in this weekend. By the way, if anyone is having trouble getting their order, I am particularly impressed with Baker seeds. I placed my order online last Wed. and was told to expect a 3-7 day delay till my order was processed. They arrived on Sat. :ep I've got a lot of work to do this weekend starting the warm weather stuff.

Well, at least ONE business is doing GREAT during this recession -- sales of veg seeds has gone UP 80% this year due to more and more people putting in veg gardens or making existing ones BIGGER!

I just watched a piece on the news about one company out west that tripled their business this year.
