never raise okra but it looks like an unbalance in the soil nutrients...you may want the test for ph...

I haven't raised okra in while either, but I agree with momofdrew. check the ph of your water as well as your soil. The Miracle grow may have thrown the Ph over.

There are some fertlizers that will up the PH when needed... I'm sure there is something similar to bring them down.

But don't try to mess with pH without first *testing* it.

Is it possible they got a bit too much (like, insufficiently diluted) miracle grow?

Is it possible the soil is somewhat compacted or that they're being overwatered?

Good luck,

Pat

What do the leaves look like now...a few days later? Second question...were these transplants or direct sowed? Third question...how deep is the bed?

Sorry for all the questions, but I would like to know/figure out why the leaves are yellowing that way. :)

Do not take what I'm saying as gospel.....but

It looks like you may have wet soil. Since the new leaves are lighter green, it could be nitrogen deprivation. Okra doesn't like wet, cool soils.

first question.. I will take another pic tomorrow.. and post it..

second question they were direct sowed

third question the bed is 4 inches up off the ground but the dirt below has a bit of amendments too..

oh and the soil is very sandy all around so it drains really well.
