We have this tree/bush growing at the edge of our property. My wife wanted me to try to find out what it is. Anyone have a guess?

Does it have a single trunk, or several coming out of the ground? How tall, approximately? Do the leaves normally droop like that or is it wilting from lack of rain?
I'm thinking something in the viburnum family.

No, maybe not.

It looks like Japanese bush honeysuckle, but the points of the leaves don't look exactly right.

I didn't pay attention to the trunk. There are weeds all around it. I wasn't paying any attention to the whole tree until my wife wanted me to try to find out what it is. It's by a gravel road and it's very dry here.

Thank you So Lucky for the clue, I think you're right it is a bush honeysuckle, probably an Amur honeysuckle, whose leaves I read are "opposite, elliptical to ovate, with long, drawn out tips." .

That does look like it. The one at my place is dust covered and probably drooping because it's so dry.
Thanks a lot everyone!

My wife says she has seen our dog eating the berries. I haven't noticed her acting sick.
