A few members have commented that things always seem to happen to me. That got me thinking why. l am sure it has to do with me always being out, I spend very little time at home. After work I go home feed my dogs take a shower get dressed and go out. Most nights I meet different friends for dinner, after dinner anything can happen. if no dinner plans I go shopping. I am only home about 1 night a week, that night I will microwave something for dinner get in bed and watch movies. The weekend can be nonstop if up country with guests. How often do you go out at night ? What is a average night for you?

Haha, not nearly exciting as yours. I am a total introvert, love my home, pj's and something to read. If I am up all night, it is because some maniac gave my kids caffeine. Or someone is throwing up everywhere. Sorry....you asked. :gig

You are a happening kind of a NyBoy!

Others
say that there are two kinds of olde people: the ones that drive in the dark and the ones that don't. Remarkable to me and beneficial, my eyesight began to improve after passing 60. That didn't include night vision.

Okay, combine that with an inability to hear a conversation with accompanying crowd noise; a big loss of appreciation for music with the hearing loss; and a lifetime habit of being an early-to-rise person.

What's difficult to understand is that Americans tolerate my daytime presence! But then, not all that many of them are fully awake when I am and tolerance may not be for long ...

Captioning in theatres ...? Ha!

I made that mistake with my nephew when he was small. I got him a coke, when my sister saw him drinking it her eyes got wide. Later when he was running around in circles my sister said this is kids on caffeine in future he likes water:hu

Mom sleeps/watches tv (she's been watching _the vikings_ tv series on dvd lately) and i surf/talk to peoples/friends, read garden groups/news/whatever.

sometimes i read a book or listen to music.

i do not like going out at night other than to look at the stars.

when i lived in the university town i would walk around and do some things, but i'm still pretty much a home-body, i love being home. still it was good to have the campus theatre and student union for hanging out and playing cards or whatever once in a while when we could get a group together. out here in the sticks. the local bar is a 2 mile walk and there are mean dogs in between. i have rarely been there. grocery store across the street from the bar. good meat there. post office is closed but we always used the one in the other town off the other direction a bit - library is in that town...

like @digitS' i have a very hard time following conversations in groups. i've never been a group person, but can do it at times if i have to (fake it :) ). book club was the most social for me beside work itself back then. i've not been invited back and haven't really pushed back into that group again.

my own company is often enough, compatible people are great, i have some friends, but i rarely see them or visit at night. i'll send them an e-mail long before i call or visit on the phone.

My favorite time of the day, a bunch of pillows stacked up on my day bed, a snugly blanket and my own t.v. and remote, not much different then when I was younger. Evening is my down time, sometimes I'm up in the wee hour watching the telly or reading. At this stage of my life sleep is not a priority.

Occasionally we went out when we were younger but both hubby and I are what you might call loners he has his hobbies I have mine. Of course I occasionally take a break from my precious remote and talk to you guys :D.

@aftermidnight i love curling up and reading with a partner. :) and it's nice to know that we have our own hobbies too so that if we want we can go off alone and do whatever and the other person isn't feeling isolated. Mom quilts most days for hours at a time, she gets up early, has her coffee, eventually takes a break and siesta (which she's doing now, snoring :), cracks me up).

she's probably already made a few hundred lap quilts this year and other quilts for other people who've wanted them. nothing super fancy, but still something that says someone cares. :) i'm her support crew. hold down the fort...
