Dance does not need to be learned, just move your body to the music. There is no wrong way to dance.:weee:weee

You would not say that if you'd ever seen me dance!

@Nyboy & @canesisters
hahaha! yeah! :) same here. except worse. ever seen that Seinfeld episode where Elaine dances? at least i'm not that bad, but i also think of lessons and learning how to waltz and do the tango. cha Cha CHA!

my free style dancing is more like bouncing in counterpoint.

it's just better when the lights are off and nobody can see me. :)

Mom taught me to waltz but there was soon no one of my age group who had an interest in either the music or the dance. I was pleased that the oldest person at my daughter's wedding complimented me on my dad and daughter dance steps, 50 years after I learned them :rolleyes:.

At one time, I had a very limited reputation as someone who "loved" to dance. It was just that I was a single guy who didn't care to sit around at the bar.

One of my class clown behaviors was doing some funny walk. Since I was usually the tallest kid in class, as well as the kid with the biggest feet :(, the others in the 3rd or 6th grade seemed to find it funny.

I was fairly light and must have seen Russian men on the teevee because I could do that dance we later saw on Fiddler on the Roof :). And that guy all you youngsters watched slowly disappear down the imaginary stairs behind a table on Sesame Street -- that guy learned that from me ;).

Yup, flowerbug, Elaine dancing on Seinfeld was my first thought at Nyboy's remark about no wrong way to dance.

Also, iffen you don't follow the rules and calls in square dancing, someone's gonna get hurt.

i have a friend from Toronto who calls dances (or used to, i've not talked to her in a while) all over the country.

Elaine's dancing wasn't wrong . She enjoyed dancing that way. It made her feel happy, not everyone can be a primadonna
Perhaps not wrong, but unconventional dancing when Elaine thought she was dancing just like everyone else. I like to see where the horse has been, but sitting backward in the saddle is not exactly what people think of when I say I go riding.
