There is a restaurant/club/music venue for Texas artists in Lindale. Sometimes we go to it. It's called Love and War in Texas. It is a nice place, even kids are welcome. Last time we went, we watched a tall Dad with his beautiful blonde little girl, she must have been about 6 years old-they danced. For some dances he held her and two stepped, for some, she danced with him. It was beautiful and heart touching to watch.

Night life? Married w/children-although they are now gone.

After workin* all day, loafing in winter while trolling this site or playing in shed/garden in spring, summer, fall is my nightlife. When we go see kids, they keep us busy so that it takes couple days to recoup when we come home.

Nightlife? I have one...pretty much the same kind of nightlife I've always had. Quiet time at home, star gazing in good weather, listening to the night sounds of nature, talking to you good folks on here, but mostly reading in my bed.

I never was one for going out at night, even when young. I loved it more to sit out on a porch swing and talk, or sit around a bonfire and talk, or just snuggle deep in comfy, overstuffed couches and chaise lounges and...talk.

I still like to do that but very seldom do now...mostly I like to be quiet now. I love spending time alone with a good book, some good food, a soft place to recline, a lovely stillness all around.

How many still go dancing ? On weekends there is a bar near me that has live DJ sat nights, my friend Kristine loves to dance, we often end the night at this bar.

i've never learned to dance. :( i was hoping my last gf and i would take some classes together. unfortunately, it didn't get that far along.

Night? Life?

Like you, Nyboy, I am seldom home. I think I make projects to stay away for nutritional reasons. When I'm home I eat; when I'm out running around I don't get hungry.

My latest "being out" time is 10:00 on Monday nights if I stop after church to meet a friend at a live Blues session (local pub). Otherwise, I'm home earlier simply because it's winter and I don't like winter night driving. . . I wanna see the ice I'm slidding on.

Since I have no life, suggesting a nightlife is pretty moot. Besides, I'm up every morning by five for early Mass. Gotta sleep.

I never learned to dance either; but DW is a good dancer... she tried to teach me to no avail. We had a lot of fun anyway, especially a couple nights out with our grown children. We stopped going out recently, the dance scene locally seems to have devolved in favor of drinking & fighting. :somad My adult son theorizes that the fighting might correlate to the increased popularity of UFC; when combined with heavy drinking, he might have a point.

Come join me in square dancing lessons every Sunday evening. It is America's folk dance -- the only folk dance originating in the U.S.

For that reason, no matter where in the world you find to square
dance the calls are always in English.
