Way to go, canesisters! I love the new avatar! Popped right out at me when I opened this page.
I do can up something we call slumgullion, which is just all the veggies from the garden stewed down together and canned in a jar. That's usually thickened with cornmeal later on and lavished on potatoes, pasta, rice or biscuits.
YUMM!! I hadn't thought to do that, but I'm gonna eat it that way, now!@ducks4you , that mix is REALLY good with pasta and a little sour cream.
Are you canning meat stripped off the bone, or bone and all?
