We bought a property with a house on it. The screen in the vent over the stove had a build up from the cooking oil. Nothing would cut the oil not even thinner, it was lenolem, you may have seen what I'm talking about. I think that would bit by bit accumulate in the human body the same way.

What's you thought, what do you use when preparing food? We cook with Olive Oil, a good friend uses butter and/or Grape seed oil.

Have a great day.

I use olive oil as my main cooking oil. I'd like to use more coconut oil but my husband doesn't like the flavor it gives to food. So, like others, I use the coconut oil for my eggs, to season my cast iron pans, and as a moisturizer for my face at bedtime.

dickiebird, you pot stirrer! :p
I don't fry much, but do use some organic lard, butter, olive oil, bacon grease. I like coconut oil but not really for frying. I also sometimes use peanut oil. It seems to be the least ominous of the liquid vegetable oils.
