We came home late last night and saw a short, wide skunk lumbering through a neighbouring garden. Maybe that's what's digging up our garlic and tulip bulbs. 🦨

yes, and if you used certain kinds of fertilizers in the holes or in that area it may be why the skunk went after the bulbs. we do have skunks that come through here and at one time had plenty of tulips planted along various edges but the skunks did not bother them. we planted them deep enough (3x bulb size depth or deeper), but also i did not use any fertilzers. where we usually see the skunks doing anything is going after the grubs and worms in the grassy areas.

what did make the most impact on the tulip population here in the unfenced gardens were the rabbits (first of all) and then the deer. the chipmunks go after the crocuses (bulbs) and the rabbits really go after the leaves.

Had to take a feral cat in a cage to the animal shelter. It sprayed the inside of the Blazer. It stunk for days . In the heat of summer you could smell it a block away. I found something at the feed store made for removing the Oder and after many prior attempts to eliminate the horrid order , a product I don’t remember the name but it finally did the trick. Like maybe the enzymes to neutralize the order. OMG… I’ll never forget the oder. Worse than a skunk….if you could possible imagine. 😱
